Federal Housing Administration (FHA) loans have been helping people become homeowners since 1934. The FHA loan requires a small down payment as little as 3.5% with even limited, or less-than perfect credit. Gift monies are acceptable for the down payment, and non-occupant co-borrowers may help in qualifying as well.
A VA loan is a mortgage loan in the United States guaranteed by the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). VA loans offer no money down options, no private mortgage insurance and competitive interest rates. VA Loans are only available to eligible veterans of the US Armed forces with certificates of eligibility.
