IFFEFCU Account Transfer
Frequently Asked Questions and Anwsers
These answers have been developed to provide you with the information you need to access your accounts following the account conversions the week-end of June 30-July 2. More information is available in the member information packet mailed to you on or about June 23. Additional information is also available at utfinancial.org/welcomeiff or you may call the Hazlet branch at IFF or our member direct phone branch at 1-800 468-8528.
What other services will I have access to?
In addition to the services you have come to expect at IFFEFCU, you will now have access to Investment & Retirement Programs; Mortgage programs, educational and budgeting services; a robust debit and credit rewards program; a stolen identity recovery program; improved on-line account security; over 50,000 surcharge-free ATM’s; over 4,000 shared branch locations; mobile access to your accounts; person to person payments; and being able to deposit a check on your phone.
When will this happen?
We will disable all access to your accounts beginning Friday June 30 at 5:00 PM. We expect to conclude the transfer on or before Sunday July 1 at 5:00 PM. Access to all services including debit cards, home banking, phone access and bill payment will be disabled. Please obtain cash prior to that date or plan to use checks for any purchases you may make. Please activate the new UTFFCU Debit card you are receiving in the mail so you may use it after the account transfer is concluded.
What will happen to my accounts?
All loan and deposit accounts will be transferred to UTFFCU systems. Your account numbers will not change. Balances shown on your account with UTFFCU on July 1 will reflect balances shown on your account with IFFEFCU of June 30, 2017. However, balances will not reflect checks you may have written prior to June 30 but which have not cleared your account. These will be cleared on your UTFFCU account following the account transfer.
If you have money market accounts, kids club accounts or any other type of account with IFFEFCU, these will be transferred to accounts at UTFFCU that match the same account and pricing structure as IFFEFCU. Over time these accounts may be transferred to UTFFCU products.
How will I access my account during this transfer?
You cannot. We are asking members to use checks or obtain cash for the week-end before June 30th at 5:00 PM.
When will I get a new debit card for my account?
New UTF FCU MasterCard debit cards should arrive by June 30, 2017. They will need to be activated prior to usage by following the instructions accompanying the card mailer. If you have any pre-authorized payments tied to your old IFFFCU account, these will need to be updated by you.
Will I be able to use the PLUS ATM network without surcharge?
No. UTFFCU use the MasterCard CIRRUS network. However you will now have access to over 50,000 surcharge free machines. Locations are on the UTF web-site and mobile app.
Are my accounts still insured by the NCUA?
Yes, your accounts will remain insured by the National Credit Union Administration up to $250,000 as allowed under the program
What will happen to bills I have in the Bill Pay system.
Any bills set up to be paid for bills with due dates through June 30 will be paid from the IFF FCU bill pay system. Bills with dates after June 30 will be paid from the new UTFFCU bill payment system. A representative from UTF will be contacting you in the next few days to move your bills onto the new UTF FCU bill payment platform so that your payments continue to made as you expect. It is similar to the IFF EFCU Bill Payment Service. If you do not hear from a credit union representative by June 28, please contact our offices so we may assist you.
What will happen to my access to Home Banking and the credit union’s “Call-24” account access by phone system?
Both of these systems will be disabled and you will need to enroll in the UTFFCU services. These are easy to use and enrollment is very simple. Seminars are being scheduled at the Hazlet and South Brunswick IFF locations. Tutorials are available online or a member Direct Representative can assist you at 1-800-468-8528.
